The primary objectives of the Section are

• Encourage the dissemination of information among environmental radiation protection and radon professionals


• Improve public understanding of the problems and needs in protection of members of the public from the health effects of exposure to radon and radonprogeny and other radionuclides disseminated in the environment


• Encourage research in environmental radiation protection and promote excellence in the practice of environmental radiation protection, and


• Provide conduit for communication among Section members and with the Society.
