Helen H. Evans,
Ph.D. Endowment Fund
The Women Faculty School of Medicine Organization at
Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) is pleased to
announce that it plans to establish an endowed fund
to support the "Helen H. Evans Mid-Career Faculty
Award" in honor of Dr. Evans. Dr. Evans was
the first vice-president of WFSOM, one of the
founding members, and continued to be an active and
valuable member.
The purpose of this annual, competitive award is to
promote professional development and career
advancement for women in academic medicine.
The award will provide funds for attending
professional development programs, participating in
certificate programs on leadership and other
opportunities for a full-time woman faculty member
with a current faculty appointment in the School of
Medicine at CWRU with five or more years of
experience who has not yet obtained tenure or
promotion to the full professor level.
Contributions to establish this fund in honor of Dr.
