The Editor's Corner
Linnea Wahl
At first glance, this may appear to be a slim newsletter. But look a little farther and follow a few website links, and you'll find a wealth of interesting information.
- Our correspondents from Fermilab have provided us with several references to research projects at Fermi and to upcoming training through the US Particle Accelerator School.
- Keep reading and you'll find a wonderful summary of a talk by Ralph Thomas, a G. William Morgan Lecturer at the 2003 annual Health Physics Society (HPS) meeting, first published in the Health Physics News, the official newsletter of the HPS. The real prize, however, is a link to Dr. Thomas's full lecture and the slides he presented at his lecture. This is great reading on the history of accelerator health physics.
- Finally, for those who were unable to attend the annual HPS meeting, we have abstracts of several papers presented at the meeting. The remainder were published in the previous issue of this newsletter.
So don't be fooled by brevity--good things come in small packages! Enjoy.
