50th Bioassay Conference The 50th Annual Conference on Bioassay, Environmental and Analytical Radiochemistry will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio on 31 October - 4 November 2004 at the Hilton Netherland Plaza Hotel. The University of Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Radiation Society, and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health are hosts for the 50th anniversary conference. SCHEDULE: A traditional meeting schedule has been adopted for the 50th annual conference with vendor and technical workshops on Sunday (31 October) and Monday (1 November), vendor welcome reception on Monday evening, and formal technical sessions beginning on Tuesday morning with the keynote presentation. The meeting will continue through Thursday afternoon. A special 50th anniversary celebration has been planned for Tuesday evening. Be sure that you apply for an absentee ballot so that you can vote in the upcoming Presidential election. REGISTRATION: You may register online with a credit card at our secure web site www.conferencing.uc.edu/bioassay . We also accept checks, purchase orders, electronic fund transfers, and credit cards if you register by mail using the form that can be printed from the registration web site. TITLE AND ABSTRACT DEADLINES: The deadline for submitting titles of oral presentations and posters is 1 July. Please provide an email address, fax and phone number for the presenting author. Final abstracts for papers and posters must be submitted by 30 September if they are to be included in the printed conference booklet. Posters will be on display throughout the meeting in the same room as the technical sessions. Poster dimensions will be announced later. All titles and abstracts must be submitted as a Word document or PDF file and attached to an email sent to: bioassay@uc.edu . ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION: We will celebrate the 50th anniversary of our conference on Tuesday evening at the new National Freedom Center Underground Railroad Museum that will include a self-guided tour of the museum, dinner, and speaker. The National Freedom Center is a new museum in Cincinnati that will open this summer. The museum is located on the waterfront only a short walk from the conference hotel.
